To see and do in Drag and the surrounding area
Drag is characterized by its greenery and lushness that meets the sea. Drag's canal is special as it is said to be Sweden's oldest canal founded by Gustav Vasa in the 16th century. The proximity to North and South Dragsviken gives you great choices for swimming, paddling and excursions
From Drag, it is close to Kalmar, a coastal city that has been named Sweden's summer city several times. Here you can stroll along the cobbled streets and enjoy the wide range of restaurants, cafes and shops. Kalmar has a rich history and a must during your holiday is to visit Kalmar Castle. Also take the opportunity to visit Kattrumpan, which is a charming district with old wooden buildings on eastern Kvarnholmen.
From the holiday home, it is also close to Öland. This beautiful island offers a unique nature and known for its wealth of birds. For the history lover, Öland has a lot to offer with several different castles and castles such as Eketorps Castle, Borgholm Castle or Gråborg & Sankt Knuts Chapel, all well worth a visit. A tip is to also visit Byrum's Raukar, which is Öland's finest rauk area with about a hundred rauks that stretch along the 600-meter-long beach strip.
