Here is the holiday home at Dragsviken for those of you who want to add the little extra to your holiday with proximity to nature and the sea. When you pass the yellow gates, a welcoming feeling sets in. Here you are greeted by an inviting lush garden with several patios perfect for coffee breaks. The view over the bay is breathtaking. Through the plot runs a small canal where a beautiful stone bridge is built. You share the plot with SE05015. If you are a larger group, you should book the other holiday accommodation as well.
The cottage, which was built at the beginning of the 19th century, has been carefully renovated to a modern standard, but the coziness remains. Here there are two living rooms for relaxation and recreation, sitting in front of the stove and looking out over the bay is very calming. Two smaller bedrooms with two built-in bunk beds and a sofa bed for two in the common room. A very fresh bathroom with a shower and a laundry room with a washing machine area in the house.
From the house you only have a few meters to swimming and fishing with your own beach that you share with SE05015. Perfect choice for families where you can start and end the day with a refreshing dip in the sea.
To see and do in Drag and the surrounding area
Drag is characterized by its greenery and lushness that meets the sea. Dragkanalen is special as it is said to be Sweden's oldest canal, founded by Gustav Vasa in the 16th century.
From Drag, it is close to Kalmar, a coastal city that has been named Sweden's summer city several times. Take a walk in the city's charming center where there is a large and fine selection of shops and restaurants. The city has a rich history and a must during your holiday is to visit Kalmar Castle.
From the holiday home, it is close to Sweden's second largest island - Öland. The island offers unique nature and is known for its rich landscape of birds. A tip is to visit Stora Alvaret, which is a nature park and is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Other attractions are Trollskogen, the lighthouses Långe Jan and Erik and Borgholm and the castle ruins.
Other suggestions for excursion destinations are Astrid Lindgren's world in Vimmerby, which is popular with families.
